Spain announce 2026 World Cup base

Spain have confirmed Tennessee as their base for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, choosing the city of Chattanooga as their team headquarters during the tournament.

The Spanish Football Federation announced that the European champions will stay in Chattanooga, located about two hours from Atlanta, where Spain will play two of their three group-stage matches. The city, with a population of roughly 190,000, sits along the Tennessee River in the southern United States.

According to the federation, head coach Luis de la Fuente and his squad will be accommodated at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Chattanooga Downtown, while training sessions will take place at the facilities of Baylor School.

Spain, winners of the 2010 World Cup, are scheduled to face Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia in Atlanta on June 15 and June 21. Their final Group H fixture will be against two-time champions Uruguay, to be played in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Currently ranked number one in the world by FIFA, Spain head into the tournament as one of the leading contenders for the World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States from June 11 to July 19.
