Senator Natasha Appears in Court as Judge Hears Contempt Allegations Between Her and Akpabio

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan appeared at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday for the scheduled hearing of a contempt claim filed by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, accusing her of defying a court order.

Justice Binta Nyako had fixed the hearing for Tuesday, following the submission by Akpabio alleging that Akpoti-Uduaghan disregarded a prior court ruling.

In addition to Akpabio’s claim, the judge is also expected to hear a separate contempt charge previously filed by Senator Natasha against Akpabio, the Senate, and other parties for allegedly violating an earlier court directive.

During the resumed proceedings, Senator Natasha’s lead counsel, Jibrin Okutekpa (SAN), informed the court that all parties had complied with the directive to submit necessary documents and were prepared to proceed with the hea ring.
