In a latest social media post by the former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, he has thanked the Ikeoha Youth Ambassadors Initiative, Port Harcourt branch who hosted him to a dinner.

The Senator who took to his verified facebook page to express his pleasure over their warm welcome and generosity towards him in Port-Harcourt thanked them adding that he was indeed honored.

In the post he said “I’m most appreciative of the love you showered on my entourage and I as well as the confidence reposed in me.

Addressing some of the good works he has done through the Ikeoha Foundation, he said “We have quietly invested in the youths over the years through the Ikeoha Foundation.

“Apart from skill acquisition and other empowerment programmes for our young women and men, we have made modest efforts in seeing a good number of our youths through their tertiary education.

“Nearly 4,200 students have benefitted from our bursary awards, while 106 students have benefitted from our full scholarships”, he concluded.
