Rite Foods Celebrates Ijebu Heritage, Thrills Visitors at Ojude Oba 2026

Rite Foods Limited, Nigeria’s leading food and beverage company, added excitement and refreshment to the 2026 Ojude Oba Festival, reaffirming its commitment to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Ijebu-land.

The annual festival, one of Nigeria’s most iconic cultural celebrations, brought together thousands of Ijebu sons and daughters, cultural enthusiasts, friends, and visitors from across the country and beyond in a colourful display of tradition, unity, and communal pride.

At this year’s event, Rite Foods attracted large crowds to its pavilion, where festival-goers enjoyed a variety of the company’s award-winning beverages and snacks while participating in the rich cultural activities that define the festival.

Speaking on the company’s support for the event, Managing Director of Rite Foods Limited, Seleem Adegunwa, said the sponsorship underscores the organisation’s dedication to celebrating and preserving the cultural identity of the Ijebu people.

“The Ojude Oba Festival represents unity, heritage and community spirit. As a proudly Nigerian company with deep roots in Ijebu-land through our operations in Ososa, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that preserve our culture and strengthen the bonds that connect our people,” he said.

The 2026 edition of the festival, themed “Celebrating the Legacy of Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona,” paid tribute to the late Awujale of Ijebu-land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona (GCON), whose reign left a lasting impact on the development of Ijebu-land and Nigeria as a whole.

Also commenting on the company’s involvement, Brand Manager of Fearless Energy Drink, Olaniyi Aderuku, said Rite Foods’ relationship with Ijebu-land extends beyond commercial interests and is rooted in shared values and community development.

“Our connection with Ijebu-land is built on shared values and mutual growth. We believe in celebrating the identity of the people and contributing meaningfully to the preservation of their cultural heritage,” he stated.

Aderuku further noted that the core values of Fearless Energy Drink—courage, ambition, confidence and self-expression—align closely with the spirit of the Ojude Oba Festival.

According to him, the festival reflects fearlessness through its vibrant fashion displays, horsemanship traditions, creativity and the enduring pride of a people committed to preserving their heritage while embracing modernity.

By supporting the festival, Rite Foods once again demonstrated its commitment to cultural preservation, community engagement and celebrating the traditions that continue to unite generations of Nigerians.
