Nigeria’s Ambassador-designate to Mexico, Reno Omokri, has congratulated the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, on his 65th birthday, describing him as a politician whose contributions have strengthened democratic participation in Nigeria.

In a birthday message shared on Sunday, Omokri prayed for Obi’s continued good health, long life, and greater wisdom.

He also commended the former Anambra State governor for inspiring greater political awareness among Nigerians, saying Obi’s active involvement in the political process has encouraged his supporters to become more engaged in the country’s democratic journey.

Drawing from the biblical verse, “Iron sharpens iron,” Omokri said Obi has helped sharpen the political consciousness of many Nigerians through his participation in national affairs.

He concluded by wishing Obi many more years of fulfilment, expressing hope that the years ahead would be his best while praying for God’s continued blessings on his life.
