Mahdi Shehu has accused First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu of hostility toward Northern Muslims following reports of her comments on U.S. military strikes in Northern Nigeria.

Reacting on X on Tuesday, Shehu said the reported remarks confirmed what, according to him, many people already believe about the First Lady.

“If indeed Pastor Remi said so, then it means what many people are saying about her and the conclusions in many circles are either true or confirmed,” he wrote.

Shehu claimed that many Northern Muslims now see Mrs Tinubu as an open enemy of Muslims.

He alleged that she shows no guilt over harm to Muslim communities.

“That she can go all along to inflict deep-seated injuries to Muslims without feeling any sense of guilt,” he said.

He also criticised what he described as her reactions when disasters affect Muslim communities.

According to Shehu, such responses show a lack of concern.

He said Muslims will continue to exist in Nigeria regardless of political leadership or foreign military actions.

“Up to the time of her death, exit from the villa, her post-villa life, there will always be Muslims in Nigeria practising Islam,” he stated.

“Even if Trump continues to bomb and decimate Northern Nigeria with Muslims as targets, there will still be Muslims among the Yoruba ‘s, igbo’s, ijaws etc practicing Islam.

“And even without Trump’s hypocritical protection of Christians in Nigeria, there will always be christians practicing Christianity, because that is how God created and structure Nigerian and nobody can question the wisdom therein.

“We urge Trump to please send more bombs to Northern Nigeria so that the RCCG madam can have some peace of Mind which he seems desperate for now.”

Shehu’s comments followed reports that Mrs Tinubu described the Christmas Day military strikes ordered by U.S. President Donald Trump as a blessing, and said Nigeria was expecting more collaboration.

Mrs Tinubu reportedly made the remarks during an interview with Fox News while on a visit to the United States after attending the National Prayer Breakfast with Donald Trump.
