Radio doctor addresses women in relationships who are enduring with the hope of taking revenge when their husbands are old and frail

A radio doctor has shared some words of advice for women who are enduring abuse with the intention of taking revenge on their husbands in old age.

Oby Olamma Nnadi took to Facebook to tell such women that they have to either leave or forgive.

She added that it is ‘vindictive’ to endure abuse while waiting for a time to revenge.

She then asked such women what guarantee they have that they won’t die before the man they are expecting to abuse back in old age.

She wrote: ‘Woman to woman, I say this again.

‘The minute you choose to remain in an unhappy, abusive marriage, it means you have decided to forgive your partner for whatever he has done to you in the past.

‘I will never encourage that victim mentality of “some men will suffer in old age because they were abusive husbands”.

‘Some women choose to stay because they live for the societal validation and grandstanding that comes with the married woman tag.

‘And I ask, why do you want to eat your cake and have it?

‘This is a marriage that has made you become a “shadow of yourself “ supposedly…

‘There will never be a good enough reason to be so vindictive, that you start planning your “revenge “ in old age. That’s expending too much energy on absolute rubbish!

‘It’s either you leave, or you stay and fulfill the vows you took.

‘We must begin to normalize this conversation.

‘Besides, between August-December, 2025, four married women personally known to me, and all under 40, di£d in their sleep, or from physical health problems. Their husbands who are all older than their wives are hale amd hearty.

‘So what’s the guarantee that you will outlive that man you are planning to deal with in future???’
