Rachael Okonkwo Debunks Engagement Rumours, Warns Bloggers Against Fake News

Popular Nollywood actress Rachael Okonkwo, widely known as Nkoli Nwa Nsukka, has dismissed rumours circulating online about her alleged engagement and marriage.

The actress expressed displeasure over a trending report that misrepresented an engagement-themed photo she shared, clarifying that the image was taken on a movie set and clearly captioned as such. Despite this, some bloggers reportedly picked up the photo and used it to spread misleading claims.

Okonkwo stressed that her colleague featured in the picture is happily married and that there was no real-life engagement involved.

“For the record, I am not engaged, I am not married, and I do not have a child yet,” she stated, urging social media bloggers to always verify information before publishing.

She called for greater responsibility in online reporting, noting that the spread of false information can harm reputations and create unnecessary confusion. The actress thanked her supporters while reiterating the importance of accuracy and professionalism in the digital space.
