PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT,FINAL MOP-UP GRATUITY VERIFICATION EXERCISE

 

The Enugu State Government wishes to inform retirees and Next of Kin (NoK) who missed the initial gratuity verification exercise or who recently obtained their complete legal documentation, that a final Mop-Up Gratuity Verification Exercise has been scheduled as follows:

 

📅 Date: Monday, 18th August – Friday, 22nd August 2025

📍 Venue: Enugu North Local Government Headquarters

 

This exercise offers a final opportunity for eligible individuals to be verified for gratuity processing. *No further extensions will be granted.*

*WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?*

• Retirees who were unable to participate in previous verification rounds.

• Next of Kin of deceased retirees who now possess the required legal documents.

 

Note:

• Retirees who have already completed the verification exercise or received full gratuity payments should NOT attend.

• Those who received partial payments must present supporting evidence.

*REQUIRED DOCUMENTS*

Participants must come with original copies and photocopies of the following:

1. Verification Printout (from earlier pension verification)

2. Notice of Retirement

3. Pension Identification Card

4. Pension Form and Authority

5. BVN and NIN

6. Two (2) recent passport photographs

7. Bank Statement (minimum of one year)

8. For Next of Kin:

o Death Certificate

o Letter of Administration or Affidavit

9. Any other relevant documents

*IF YOU ARE ABROAD OR HOSPITALIZED*

If you are unable to attend in person due to being abroad or hospitalized:

• Send a signed authorization letter or affidavit with your full details and the name of your representative.

• Your representative must appear with all required documents and also email scanned copies to verifygratuity@gmail.com with your name and pension ID in the subject line.

• This exercise is limited to the specified date and venue only.

• Ensure your bank details (Estate Account for next of kin), are active and accurate.

• Compliance with instructions from verification officers is mandatory.
