PRESIDENT BUHARI gives new directives TO Nigeria Immigration Service

President Mohammed Buhari on Thursday issued a new directive to the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS as part of measures to tackle security problems in the country.

The Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmed made this known on his Twitter account.

Bashir disclosed that the President has directed the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to improve surveillance and control around the nation’s borders.

He also revealed that the NIS has also been directed to double efforts at ensuring that criminal elements don’t find Nigeria as a haven to hide and perpetuate their criminality.

“President Muhammadu Buhari today, in Abuja directed the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to improve surveillance and control around the nation’s borders.

“The President also urged the service to ensure that criminal elements don’t find Nigeria a safe haven to hide and perpetrate their criminality,” he said.
