Awgu Council Chairman Embarks on Historic Mission to End Open Defecation by 2025 with Installation of Ambitious 2,000 Free Sato Pan Toilets (photos)

 

In a transformative initiative aimed at improving public health and sanitation, the Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, has officially launched the installation of 2,000 free Sato Pan toilets in homes across the Communities . This monumental event, which took place on June 12, 2025, marks a significant step toward the ambitious goal of eliminating open defecation by the end of the year.
