The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Thursday, presided over the Security Council Meeting at the State House in Abuja.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (retd.); Chief of Staff to the President, Prof Ibrahim Gambari  and the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor were present at the meeting.

The meeting also had in attendance the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Naval Staff and the Chief of Air Staff and the Inspector General of Police.

Shortly after the meeting, Buhari decorated his Aide de Camp Col. YM Dodo with his new rank in the presence of his wife Dr. Hindatu Bashir.
