Petition Tops 34k Signatures Demanding Accountability from Delta North Senator

An online petition on the Change.org platform calling for accountability from Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents the Delta North Senatorial District, has gained more than 34,000 signatures from Nigerians.

The petition, initiated by Sammy West, the brother of actress Regina Daniels, accuses the lawmaker of abuse of power and violating fundamental human rights. It alleges that Nwoko has been intimidating Regina Daniels and her family, using his political influence to obstruct justice.

A section of the petition reads:

“Nwoko’s alleged misconduct is not only an affront to Regina Daniels and her family but also a potential threat to all Nigerians who believe in fairness, justice, and the rule of law. His actions reportedly reflect a misuse of influence that undermines democratic principles.”

It further warns that such behavior, if unchecked, could create an environment where influence overshadows justice, urging Nigerians to speak out against abuse of power.

The development comes amid ongoing controversy surrounding Nwoko’s marriage to Regina Daniels. The actress recently alleged that she was assaulted by her husband.

Senator Nwoko, however, denied the allegations, claiming Regina’s outburst was due to the influence of alcohol and drugs.
