The Peoples Democratic Party in Anambra State has expelled its State secretary Mr. Emeka Obi from the party.
Confirming this to newsmen in Awka, the State Chairman, Ndubuisi Nwogbu said the erstwhile secretary was found wanting for anti party activities and actions inimical to the progress of the party.
According to him: ” The former secretary was found wanting for anti-party activities and actions inimical to the progress and betterment of the PDP. That being the case, he was suspended initially and given time to come and exonerate himself from the charges against him. Rather than doing that, he had continued in the court process against the party. So the party now, after a painful stocktaking had to expel him from the party”
Meanwhile, Barrister Okoli C.J Akirka has been inaugurated as the New State Secretary of the party.
