The Senior Pastor of The Second Coming of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa, has accused Nigerian politicians of empowering foreign criminals and armed herders responsible for ongoing violence across the country.
Reacting to the recent killings in Benue State, Pastor Giwa, in a statement on Sunday, said the country’s leadership has handed its affairs to individuals who do not have the nation’s interest at heart.
“We have handed over the affairs of Nigeria into the hands of criminals,” he said. “Is it possible to put an armed robber in charge of bank money? That’s what Nigeria has done—entrusting the nation to foreigners who are only focused on destruction before the end of their term.”
He alleged that some politicians are behind the violence, accusing them of supplying Fulani herders with AK-47 rifles and benefiting from their activities through the cattle business.
“Most of them are into cattle rearing and have empowered terrorists to manage the business,” Giwa claimed. “Do you expect such people to pursue justice?”
He expressed deep concern over the continuous loss of innocent lives and lamented the spiritual state of the country, stating that hypocrisy, lies, and deceit have driven God away from Nigeria.
“God doesn’t dwell in an environment full of sin and evil. We turn black to white and yellow to purple, and we still expect divine intervention,” he added.
