Oriyomi Hamzat apologizes to Naira Marley, lifts ban on the singer’s songs on Agidigbo FM

The founder of an Ibadan-based radio station, Agidigbo 88.7 FM, Oriyomi Hamzat, has apologised to Azeez Fashola, known professionally as Naira Marley.

 

 

 

Hamzat also lifted the ban placed on Malian songs on the station over the demise of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

 

 

 

Recall that in 2024, Oriyomi placed a ban on Marley songs on the radio station over the allegations of being involved in Mohbad’s de@th

 

 

 

On Tuesday, August 19, Hamzat made a public apology on his radio station, and also said Agidigbo would henceforth resume playing Malian songs.

 

 

 

The broadcaster said, “I am very sorry for all my provocative statements or words to Naira Marley. And now at the Agidigbo radio station, we have lifted our legs up to march Satan and overcome obstacles.

 

 

 

“From today onward, I am raising the ban that was placed on the singer’s tracks at Agidigbo FM. We can now be playing Naira Marley songs at our radio station.”

 

 

 

To affirm his directive, he immediately played one of Marley’s songs, “Tesumole.”
