The apex socio-cultural igbo group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide felicitates with their illustrious son, Distinguished Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, GCON as he clocks 61.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia, the group’s National Publicity Secretary talking about the kind of person the senator is said “The biography of Senator Anyim is a veritable testament to the age-long assertion that success or failure in life is a function of choice between the cultivation of either virtues or vices.

“His stellar political trajectory has shown the incandescent power of the audacity of virtues over the audacity of aristocracy. Hence, at the early stage of his life, Anyim was the teachers’ delight in almost all the schools he attended.  At 37, when his mates were still groping and fledgling, Anyim had won election to represent Ebonyi South Senatorial District in the Nigerian senate, under the platform of the defunct UNCP-United Nigeria Congress Party; a feat he repeated in 1999 under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

“At the Nigerian Senate, Anyim was unanimously elected as the President of the Senate; a position that elicited his prodigious brilliance, Spartan courage, visionary transformative acumen, legal wizadry, uncommon patriotism, exceptional humility, hard work, friendly finesse and candour. 

“Anyim has at various times displayed the rare capacity to stay on course even in the stormy seas; a man of profound emotional intelligence. The above distinctive qualities were deployed to serve Nigeria as the Secretary to the Federal Government (SFG) under the former President of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

“Anyim ennobled the two elevated offices he held with remarkable skill, unassailable diligence, integrity, elegance and panache to the admiration of Nigerians of diverse persuasions.

“The President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Ambassador Professor George Obiozor is highly elated that Anyim is very strong, physically, emotionally and spiritually and wishes him long life and prosperity in good health”, he said.
