‘OBIOZOR, A MAN THAT WILL LEAD IGBOS TO THE PROMISE LAND”, SAYS OHANAEZE

Apex Igbo Socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has rained encomiums on Prof. George Obiozor, President general Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.

In a meeting aimed reviewing security situation and strategies for the south east, the group named him a great leader given his proficiency in handling matters concerning the Igbo tribe.

In a press statement signed by the group’s Spokesman, Chief Alex Chiedozie Ogbonnia, the group stated that Obiozor is the man to take all the affairs of the Igbos to a better position.

OHANAEZE NDIGBO PASSES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON OBIOZOR

The National Executive Committee of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide held a meeting on Wednesday, April 14 at the Ohanaeze Secretariat, Enugu and reviewed the state of affairs in Igbo Land. Among other issues reviewwd were the incidents of violence and criminality in Igbo Land.

Members were very impressed with the exceptional political engineering and diplomacy with which the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide,  Ambassador Professor George Obiozor relates with all the South East Governors, members of National and State Assemblies, captains of industry, scholars, the Clergy and indeed all the major stake holders in Igbo Land.

The unalloyed support of the Igbo was manifest with the confidence reposed in him by all the South East Governors in a meeting at Owerri on Sunday, April 11, 2021

Members noted with immense delight the remarkable breakthrough in launching the Ebubeagu- a security outfit for the South East of Nigeria.

In moving a motion for vote of confidence on Obiozor, the National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia pointed out that Obiozor is richly endowed in intellect, diplomatic dexterity, organisational ability and amazing public relations. Ogbonnia added that there is no better time that Ndigbo need maturity, cautious engagements and inter-ethnic collaboration in order to achieve a common goal. Ogbonnia further stated that the Obiozor expertise in politics, international relations, diolomacy and strategic thinking stands him out as the man who will take us to the promised land. The motion enjoyed a unanimous support.

Prof Obiozor thanked members for reposing confidence in him, citing that Providence had in the past, made it possible for him to serve Ndigbo in various capacities. He assured members that he is very confident that, with the Igbo support, we will achieve all the goals we have set for ourselves before the end of our tenure.
