Obidient Movement: Nigerians Await Peter Obi’s Liberation Mission in 2027 — Yunusa Tanko

Dr. Yunusa Tanko, National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, has declared that Nigerians are eagerly awaiting the return of Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential race, describing him as a beacon of hope and integrity.

Tanko made this statement in celebration of Obi’s 64th birthday, which falls on Saturday, July 19, 2025. In a message signed and released on Friday, he praised the former Labour Party presidential candidate for his leadership qualities and unwavering commitment to building a New Nigeria.

“This Saturday, July 19, we celebrate not just a man, but a movement — a symbol of hope, integrity, and transformational leadership,” Tanko wrote.

He thanked Obi for his courage, consistency, and compassion, stating that his vision continues to inspire millions across Nigeria and beyond.

“On behalf of the entire Obidient family across Nigeria and the world, we say: thank you for your unmatched courage, selfless service, and relentless pursuit of a New Nigeria where competence and character lead the way.”

Tanko concluded his message with a clear political undertone, suggesting that the 2027 elections may be another opportunity for Obi to actualize his vision for the country.

“May God preserve you for the destiny that awaits this nation through your hands. Nigerians are waiting for your liberation in 2027. The journey continues. Obidiently, we march on.”
