NUJ FCT Celebrates Rep Betara at 59, Says He Has Impacted Nigeria’s Capital Positively

The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council has greeted the Chairman House Committee of the FCT, Hon. Muktar Betara on his 59th birthday anniversary.

 

 

 

In a felicitation statement signed by the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Grace Ike noted that Hon. Betara’s commitment to public service and especially the FCT has brought improved service delivery to the capital city.

 

 

 

According to the statement, “as Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on the Federal Capital Territory, Hon. Betara continues to exemplify humble, resilient, and people-centered leadership..

Highlighting the achievements of Betara’s committee, Comrade Ike noted that, “Under his stewardship, the FCT has recorded significant infrastructural progress and enhanced budgetary attention, resulting in improved services and better living conditions for residents of Abuja. His humanitarian contributions—ranging from provision of medical equipment and youth/women empowerment to support for vulnerable communities and development of vital projects including health centers, street lighting, ambulances, and recreational facilities—reflect a leader devoted to meaningful, life-changing impact.”

 

 

 

As a representative of Biu, Kwaya Kusar, Bayo, and Shani Federal Constituencyof Borno State since 200, Hon Betara has remained a prominent member of Nigeria’s apex parliament where he has distinguished himself as a passionate and committed leader.

 

 

 

The statement noted that the NUJ not only “celebrates the birthday, but a legacy of bridge-building, compassion, and steadfast commitment to national development. Hon. Betara has touched countless lives—and continues to do so.

 

 

 

May this new chapter bring him greater strength, wisdom, and good health as he deepens his service to Nigeria.
