“Not Enough Revenue for Our Population”: Daniel Bwala Explains Economic Struggles

Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, says Nigeria’s revenue is not enough to match the large population of the country.

Bwala made this remark on Tuesday during a live appearance in an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’.

He was speaking on why so many Nigerian citizens are still struggling to see in their daily lives that the economy, President Tinubu said is doing well.

It will be recalled that President Tinubu, in a speech to mark his third anniversary, said the economy is booming.

According to Bwala, “The population is over 230 million, but the resources we have, however, are not enough to match the population and the deficit in terms of infrastructure.

“So, growth will have to be slow. It will be slow, steady, and consistent. That is what we take pride in.”
