“No Policeman should search your phone on the road… I stand by that order” – Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh

The Lagos state Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has again reiterated his order that no police officer in the state has the right to search the phones of any resident of the state.

While speaking at a function recently, Olohundare said

“No Policeman should search your phone on the road… I stand by that order”

Some residents of the state while reacting to his recent comment, pointed out that it is one thing for him to make such an order and then it is another thing for the officers to respect the order.

An X usr while sharing his recent experience, alleged that he doled out N50, 000 to some officers who demanded he opened his phone and when they found nothing incriminating, accused him of hiding his incriminating apps.
