Nightlife Influencer Yhemolee fires back at food critic Opeyemi over review of his wife’s perfume

Social media drama has broken out after night life influencer, Yhemolee responded angrily to a review made by food critic Opeyemi about his wife’s perfume brand.

In a series of heated posts, Yhemolee accused Opeyemi of pretending to like him while making what he described as demeaning and unnecessary comments about the perfume. He questioned the logic of saying “I love Yhemolee” and then going ahead to rubbish a product tied to his household.

According to Yhemolee, the perfume brand is doing just fine without the review. He revealed that the fragrance has sold out twice, with over 1,000 bottles sold, adding that the particular scent Opeyemi criticised is currently the best seller.

He also claimed that the brand’s marketing team had previously reached out to Opeyemi for a launch review, but the critic allegedly demanded ₦6 million. Yhemolee suggested that the negative review only came after the business started doing well without him.

The nightlife personality further stated that if the criticism was truly constructive, it should have been shared privately rather than online, especially since his name was mentioned. He ended by saying the situation has helped him “filter” the kind of people he associates with online.
