Nigeria’s Future in 2027: Peter Obi Hopes to Leverage Coalition’s Experience for a Better Tomorrow

Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State, has said the experiences of opposition leaders who are members of the coalition plotting to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027 are key to moving the country forward if he is elected as President.

A statement issued on Monday by Ibrahim Umar, spokesman of Peter Obi Media Reports, said the former Labour Party presidential candidate stated that the experiences of the politicians, who may have failed in the previous governments, are critical because they understand the system of governance.

“You need the experience of those who have failed and those who have succeeded in moving on, and I need everyone.

“It is a critical experience because they know what can fail a system and they know what was wrong with the system,” he said.

According to the statement, Obi also clarified that a single term of four years is enough for a competent leader to make positive changes in the country.

Obi had in an interview on Sunday declared that he will be contesting for the number one office in 2027, putting to rest the speculations that he would deputize former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
