Nigerian lady raises alarm over alleged ‘egg donation scam’ in Lagos

A Nigerian lady has shared a disturbing story about her friend’s experience with egg donation in Lagos, describing it as a scam disguised as help for couples struggling to conceive.

According to her, her friend was promised between ₦170k–₦200k for donating her eggs, with claims that her height and fair skin influenced the amount. After initial tests confirmed she was fine, she returned the next day where she was reportedly given drugs that made her drowsy.

When she woke up, doctors allegedly told her that her egg was “bad” and that she would not be paid. Days later, she began bleeding non-stop and, after seeking help at another hospital, was informed that her eggs had indeed been harvested and she had been injected with hormones.
