Fresh reports have confirmed that Abubakar Yakubu, the newly elected President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), was involved in a fatal auto crash in the Surulere area of Lagos.

 

Yakubu, who narrowly won the AGN election after defeating Rita Daniels by 116 votes to 113, was said to be driving when the incident occurred.

 

 

 

The crash reportedly led to the death of one person, Sahara Reporters confirmed.

 

No official statement has been released yet regarding the cause of the accident or the findings from the early stages of the inquiry.

 

 

Yakubu was immediately taken into custody at the Barracks Police Station in Surulere, where authorities have begun investigations into what really happened.
