Elon Musk has surfaced in a new batch of documents from the Epstein files, with records showing a 2013 email exchange between the Tesla CEO and the late financier Jeffrey Epstein about a possible visit to Epstein’s private island.

 

 

According to the documents, Musk emailed Jeffrey Epstein in December 2013, telling him he would be in the British Virgin Islands over the holidays and asking whether it would be a good time to visit the island. The email appears to contradict Musk’s previous public statements in which he said he refused invitations from Epstein to visit the property.

 

 

Two days later, Epstein replied that Musk could come by at the start of the new year, writing that there was “always space for you.” Epstein followed up again on Christmas Day, saying he could pick Musk up on January 2 or 3.

 

 

Musk initially responded that he would need to return to Los Angeles on the night of January 2, but later said he could instead fly in on January 1. Epstein replied that any date between January 1 and January 8 would work and suggested they “play it by ear.” The documents do not confirm whether Musk ultimately visited the island.

 

 

 

 

This is not the first time Elon Musk has appeared in the Epstein files. In an earlier document release in September, Musk’s name also surfaced, after which he publicly sought to distance himself from Epstein, posting on social media: “Epstein tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED.”

 

 

Epstein died by suicide in 2019 while in custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, where he was awaiting trial on federal s3x trafficking charges.

 

 

Musk has been contacted for comment on the latest document release, but no response has

been issued so far.
