It was a night of wining, dining, networking and envisioning plans for a new enugu as Ndi Oganiru Enugu on the night of 19th March, hosted Senator Ike Ekweremadu who was flanked by Hon. Toby Okechukwu and Hon. Dennis Oguerinwa Amadi to a dinner where they had an interactive session and raised funds for his governorship race.

The dinner which took place at Best Western Plus Hotel, Enugu, was attended by dignitaries, politicians, and Enugu business men and women trading in other states but have their state at heart as they rubbed minds together and shared in Ekweremadu’s vision for a new Enugu state.

Speaking at the event, the president, Ndi Oganiru Enugu State, Chief Engr. Jude Chinedu Asogwa thanked the other patrons for taking out their time to come for the event, stating that “when i look at the support and commitment of our patrons and members of Ndi Oganiru Enugu state to his his excellency, I stand to say that this is a project ordained by God. we all know that the job of a lawmaker is to make laws, but it gives us joy to see people rate his work to those of lawmakers due to all he has done in the state

“we all know that Senator Ekweremadu is running fo9r an election under PDP, and the party might choose to do direct primaries which means that will be a delegate election, and we want our patrons to know that most of the delegates are our friends, brothers, wives, sisters and husbands. we have what we call the statutory delegates, PDP ward chairmen, vice chairmen of the wards, secretary, women leader, youth leaders and the current elected councilors. And we also have as delegates, 18 PDP local government executive members, all the zonal PDP executives, state executives, it is expected that you get at least 2 delegates for us because it is your project

“we are not forgetting the current gang up in the name of zoning against our patron Ikeoha global. we are pleading to our grand patron, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi to stand on the truth, justice equity and fairness by provding a level playing ground to all the aspirants

I want to thank our patrons and members who have been working very hard to see that this project is actualized. yesterday a group of delegates called me to support the purchase of the nomination form for Ikeoha, and to our greatest surprise, what they donated was 3 times more than the price of the form itself.

” We have been receiving financial support from many of our patrons and supporters across the globe, and our patrons and we ndi oganiru enugu have agreed to support our grand patron Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi if he decides to run for presidency and have agreed to support his campaign and his presidential ambition with 3 billion naira.

“If he wants to run for other political positions that the constitution permits him, we will still support him financially. and we will also support Ikeoha global with the sum of 2 billion naira”, he concluded.

Appreciating the group for honoring him thanking everyone for finding the time to come from different places,, Ekweremadu, stated that with all these, he is ready to compete in the election with confidence.

He used the opportunity to announce to all present that he had purchased the form for the election, while also reiterating his plan for a new Enugu which he had earlier made known in a press conference the week before.
