NDI ENUGU, ENOUGH OF THE  MASSACRE, STATE YOUR GRIEVANCES, DROP GUNS AND EMBRACE PEACE – ENUGU COMMISSIONER

The Commissioner , Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission, ENSIEC Hon. Obiora George  has sent a passionate appeal to Ndi Enugu following the security situation in the state which has resulted to numerous assassinations.

The Commissioner  who spoke through a passionate message  of appeal he sent out this morning, urged all gunmen in Enugu  state to drop their guns, state their grievances  and embrace  peace.

He  recalled that not so long ago a High court judge was murdered close to Ebeano tunnel on a broad daylight.

“Recently, Mr. Ifeanyi Okeke, CEO of Auto Ease was gruesomely murdered, close to his residence at Bricks Estate Independence Layout Enugu, in the presence of his 7-year old child.

“Again, the state has been thrown into a turmoil following the murder of Prof Sam Ndubuisi, the General Managing Director of Scientific Equipment Development Institute (SEDI) who was killed close to Centenary City along Enugu-Onitsha Express way alongside his police orderly.

Hon George  therefore appealed to ndi Enugu to have a rethink and support the Governor  of the state, who is a peaceful  man.

“Ndị Enugu  Lets all drop the guns and embrace Peace. Enough of the massacre. Enugu remains in the hands of God” 

 He reinstated that “no state can develop when there is crisis

“I appealed to those who are carrying out this dastardly acts to have a rethink, drop the guns, state their grievances and embrace Peace” he stated.

He also urged Ndi Enugu to continue to support the efforts of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi Gburugburu whom he believes peace embodies his lifestyle in his tireless efforts to restore peace in Enugu.

 He further tasked the citizens to be security conscious and report every strange movements in their environment and cooperate with the government. 

He commiserates with the deceased families and pray that God should give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

For in the last, Ndi Enugu shall triumph.
