Nasarawa to use14bn on secretariat complex

The Nasarawa State Government has earmarked the sum of N14.7 billion for the construction of a secretariat complex in the state.

The Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr Dogo Shamma, disclosed this after the state executive council meeting, in Lafia, on Monday.

He said the complex which was tagged, ‘Legacy Project,’ in Lafia would be sited close to the state High Court and Assembly complexes along Shandam Road.

He said, “The state secretariat complex is to cost the state government the sum of N14, 709bn.”

Shama explained that the new project had been captured in the 2021 Budget, which would be presented to the state assembly on November 17.
