The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), in collaboration with Operation Hadin Kai, has carried out a successful airstrike that killed scores of Boko Haram terrorists and destroyed a major insurgent hideout in Bita, Borno State.
The operation, executed in the early hours of Friday, targeted fleeing terrorists in the notorious insurgent enclave in Nigeria’s North-East. The air assault, described as a significant achievement, dealt a decisive blow to the operational capabilities of the terror group.
A statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, emphasized that the mission marks a major milestone in ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and restore security in the region.
“In the early hours of today, NAF combat aircraft conducted precision airstrikes on fleeing terrorists in Bita, Borno State, neutralizing numerous insurgents,” the statement said. “This represents one of the most impactful strikes against the group in recent times.”
The air operation, meticulously coordinated and carried out under the cover of darkness, was designed to dismantle the terrorists’ capacity to launch further attacks. Following the air raid, ground troops initiated clearance and exploitation operations to consolidate the gains and secure the area.
