MMAKU INDIGENES LAUD REPS FOR ROAD PROJECTS

The good people of Mmaku town of Awgu local government ares has shown their appreciation to their federal representatives, both in the Green and Red Chambers, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu and Rt. Hon. Toby Okechukwu for the constant provision of infrastructual developments in their town, particularly the just concluded Ugbo-Ajaba Mmaku road project.

Under the aegis of Mmaku Newages, the Mmaku Indigenes presented two letters of commendation, particularly addressed to each Parliamentarian.

Partly, the letters read, “you have demonstrated exemplary leadership and foresight in mobilizing resources for the completion of this road project in the lst few years.”

They emphassized on the benefits of the road projects by writing,”today, our people enjoy comfortable and safer vehicular movement on the road. It has increased the economic and social interaction amongst our genealogically and socially interwoven peoples of Mmaku, Ogugu, Ugbo and their kits and kin in other communities around that axis”

Most gratifying to the people of Mmaku is the fact that the two legislators “pioneered and completed this road project within a timeframe that has rekindled confidence in the ability of government to live out the dreams of a people on a project”

Mmaku NewAges equally noted the positive developments on the Oji – Awgu road rehabilitation and reconstruction

“We are assured that the construction company – SETRACO, undertaking the project will return to the project when the impact of the COVID 19 pandemic abates, to finalize the remaining portions of the road” the non – political organisation added.

In their responses the two lawmakers expressed joy on the commendation and promised to use their presence at the National Assembly to ensure that all the projects within Enugu West senatorial zone are completed before the expiration of their tenures.

In his words, Sen. Ike Ekweremadu said, “I am really thrilled to receive this commendation from my own people, it goes to show that people are watching” adding “I am happy to have fulfilled my promise to our people on the Oji – Awgu road reconstruction”

Rt. Hon Okechukwu also, thanked Mmaku NewAges for thinking it wise to move to commend their efforts on the road projects and other interventions initiated for the good of the people of the zone under the leadership of Senator Ekwerenmadu.

“This action of yours will strengthen our efforts to continue to improve our representation of the interest of our people at the National Assembly” he added.
