Mbah Launches Fashion Revolution in Enugu: EFIT Set to Build Next Generation of Creative Entrepreneurs

…As Enugu Fashion & Garment Hub opens doors for young designers

Speaking on the program, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Digital Economy and MSMEs and Director General of the Enugu SME Center, Arinze Chilo-Offiah, described EFIT as “more than just fashion training — it’s a platform for job creation, enterprise development, and economic inclusion.”

The 12-week intensive, hands-on program will equip participants with a blend of technical and business skills, covering design fundamentals, pattern drafting, fabric cutting, sewing, production management, and fashion business operations. The training is led by professional instructors and industry experts from Coal City Couture.

Participants will also gain access to state-of-the-art industrial machines, collaborative workspaces, and exposure to real production projects at the Hub. Upon completion, they’ll receive post-training business support from the Enugu SME Center — ensuring sustainability and growth.

With a subsidized program fee of ₦50,000 and flexible payment options, EFIT opens the doors of opportunity to hundreds of creative youths across the state.

“This is part of our drive to equip Ndi Enugu with skills that don’t just create jobs but build industries,” Chilo-Offiah noted, emphasizing the Mbah administration’s commitment to youth empowerment and digital innovation.

Applications are currently open via www.enugusme.en.gov.ng/efit.

The Enugu Fashion Incubation Training represents another bold stride in Governor Mbah’s Tomorrow Is Here agenda — a vision that continues to turn creativity into impact and transform Enugu into the heartbeat of Nigeria’s creative economy.
