Man stabs friend to death in Ondo

Men of the Ondo state police command have arrested a man identified as Johnson Daniel for allegedly st@bbing an 18-year-old boy, Ariyo Timilehin, to de@th in Owo, Owo Local Government Area of the state.

 

 

 

In a statement released, the spokesperson of the command, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, said the incident happened on March 6.

 

 

 

 

Jimoh mentioned that preliminary investigations indicated that the victim was allegedly st@bbed during an argument with the suspect.

 

 

 

 

“The command has confirmed the arrest of a suspect in connection with the alleged murder of Ariyo Amos Timilehin following a violent altercation in Owo on March 6, 2026” he said

 

According to him, the victim was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owo, where a medical doctor confirmed him de@d on arrival.

 

 

 

 

Jimoh added that police detectives visited the scene of the incident and recovered the knife suspected to have been used in the attack, while the suspect was subsequently arrested.

 

 

 

“The case has since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation” he said
