Man be@ts relative to de@th over N1000 in Delta

The police in Delta state have arrested a 47-year-old man identified as Ezekiel for be@ting his 42-year-old first cousin to de@th over N1000 contribution.

 

 

 

In a video recording, Ezekiel said he and other members of their family had contributed N1000 each to one of them who lost a parent. He said this has always been the practice and that after the funeral had been concluded, the N1000 each person contributed would then be refunded. He mentioned that after the funeral, they had a meeting and he asked for his N1000 to be refunded to him. He said an argument ensued between him and the deceased over the N1000 and things degenerated into a fight during which he punched the deceased. The deceased collapsed and was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed de@d.

 

 

 

The suspect stated that family members and even the deceased pleaded with him to stop during his moment of rage but he refused to listen to them.

 

 

 

He pleaded for forgiveness, asking everyone including the police to forgive him.
