Awgu Egbeleli, Nigeria – On Friday, May 23, 2025, the community gathered to pay tribute to the late Chief Romanus Chinedu Nwobodo, a revered leader and patriarch of the Nwobodo Dynasty, who was laid to rest in a solemn ceremony that evoked a range of emotions among attendees.

• It was a day the great son and pride of Awgu Egbeleli and the Patriach of the Nwobodo Dynasty, Late Chief Romanus Chinedu Nwobodo was committed to Mother Earth.
  This day brought together captains of industries, top government functionaries, political juggernauts, academicians, religious and traditional leaders, youth and opinion leaders, and the media.
  One of such personalities that graced the occasion was the Chairman of Okeyson group of companies and a great ally of the deceased, High Chief Okey Udeji. The Chairman, while still in shock and bewilderment over the death of his beloved friend, came with the entire management team of the organization, including its Chief Security Officer, Com.A.C Ude.
  In his remark, the Chairman of Okeyson group described Late Chief Romanus Chinedu Nwobodo as a perfect example of humility and sincerity, whose major concern in life is to always be the source through which others light up their candles. He said his impact on Umu-Awgu Egbeleli cannot be described in words. He further posited that going forward, he would ensure that he keeps his legacies afloat. He prayed that God will continually keep and uphold his immediate family and grant his soul eternal rest.
