Lagos state government dismisses viral kidnapping claims on Gbagada Expressway

The Lagos state government has debunked online rumours claiming there is a surge in kidnapping incidents along the Gbagada Expressway.

The claims, circulated via a flyer purportedly issued by the state government, warned commuters of increased abductions in the area.

The message further alleged that criminals were using the ‘one chance’ tactic and operating in commercial vehicles to prey on unsuspecting residents.

Responding via social media, the state government described the news as ‘’fake news”
