AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has dismissed claims that he submitted the name of a preferred governorship aspirant to Bola Tinubu.
The governor described the reports as false, malicious, and aimed at blackmailing him. He urged party leaders and stakeholders in the state to disregard the rumours.
This was contained in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Bashir Adigun.
According to the statement, it is untrue that the governor has endorsed or forwarded the name of any aspirant as the party’s candidate for the Kwara State governorship position.
The governor also called on aspirants to focus on promoting their ambitions to relevant stakeholders rather than engaging in smear campaigns. He advised party members to channel their efforts into productive political engagement instead of spreading misinformation.
