KIDNAPPED DELTA COUNCIL BOSS REGAINS FREEDOM

The Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area of Delta State, Aduge Okorodudu, who was kidnapped on Saturday night, has been released by his abductors.

Ugamatv gathered that Okorodudu regained freedom in the early hours of Tuesday.

The Commissioner of Police for Delta State, Mr. Hafiz Inuwa, confirmed the release of the abducted council chairman in a telephone conversation with journalists in Warri on Tuesday morning.

The CP said, “Yes, he has been released. That is the information I got today (Tuesday).”

Mr. Okorodudu was kidnapped by arms-wielding hoodlums on Saturday night along Mbiaku Link Road in Warri GRA.

The council chairman, who was in the company of his driver, was waylaid and whisked to an unknown destination about 8 pm.

The driver of the victim was shot by the gunmen and sustained severe injuries.
