Keke Palmer explains why she?ll never live in the same house as a romantic partner

Keke Palmer has made it clear: she won’t move in with a romantic partner—even if they’re married.

The actress, who shares 2-year-old son Leodis with ex Darius Jackson, told Today she values her alone time. “That’s real,” she said, referencing Whoopi Goldberg’s famous line: “I don’t want nobody in my house.”

Keke is open to a compromise, though. She suggested living on the same property but in separate spaces. “You can be in the guest house. We can be on the same land, but I’m over there and he’s over there,” she said, adding that at best, it would be separate rooms.

She believes living apart keeps a relationship “fun and exciting.” “Think about how fun it would be to be like, ‘I’m going over to my man’s house.’ He’d probably make a mess at my place if he stayed over. I want to go sit on his couch,” she explained.

Her priority remains her son. Keke said parenting requires focus and responsibility, and maintaining her personal space helps her “be the best me” for him.
