Kaduna MURDERS ECWA pastor

Suspected bandits have killed a cleric with the Evangelical Church Winning All, Rev. Silas Ali, in the Zango-Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

UGAMATV learnt that the victim was hacked to death on Saturday.

The state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the incident in a statement on Sunday.

He said the state Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, was pained by the attack and condoled with the church and family of the slain pastor.

The commissioner quoted the governor to have charged security operatives to intensify efforts at apprehending the perpetrators of the act.

Aruwan said, “Security agencies have reported to the Kaduna State Government the killing of Reverend Silas Yakubu Ali, Pastor of ECWA Church, Kibori-Asha Awuce, in Zangon Kataf LGA, by unknown assailants.

“The report stated that Reverend Ali departed for Kafanchan on Saturday and was not heard from until his corpse was found by a search party early on Sunday at Kibori community, near Asha-Awuce, where he was apparently attacked and macheted to death.”
