Juventus sack coach Tudor after eight-match winless run

Juventus have sacked head coach Igor Tudor following a dismal run of results that saw the team go eight consecutive matches without a win across all competitions, the Italian club confirmed on Monday, October 27.

In an official statement, the club said “Juventus FC announces that it has today relieved Igor Tudor of his duties as coach of the men’s first team, along with his staff.”

The Turin-based giants also announced that Massimo Brambilla, currently head coach of the club’s reserve team, would take charge of the first team on an interim basis.

Tudor, a Croatian and former Juventus defender, was appointed in March 2025, succeeding Thiago Motta. His appointment marked the club’s first foreign managerial hire since Didier Deschamps in the 2006–07 season.

Under Tudor, Juventus managed a fourth-place finish in Serie A last season, securing qualification for the UEFA Champions League. However, the team’s fortunes plummeted this term despite a strong start that included three straight league victories.

In recent weeks, Juventus have drawn five successive games across competitions before suffering three consecutive defeats, to Como, Real Madrid, and Lazio, culminating in mounting pressure on the 46-year-old manager.

The club’s statement added “The club thanks Igor Tudor and his entire staff for their professionalism and dedication over the past few months and wishes them all the best for their professional future.”

Juventus have failed to score in their last four matches and currently sit eighth in Serie A, six points adrift of leaders Napoli. They will next face Udinese at home on Wednesday, with Brambilla expected to be in the

dugout as caretaker manager.
