Justice K. I Okpe of Enugu State High Court has accepted evidences tendered by the enugu state department of public prosecution for the case of the murdered 27years old enugu sate based female makeup artist, late ijeoma nneke
Justice K.I Okpe admitted some of the exhibits presented by Barrister C.C Chigbo from the Enugu state department of public prosecution (DPP) and observations made by the prosecuting Counsel of the late Ijeoma’s family.
Some of the evidences tendered and admitted by the court include the call-log between the deceased and the suspected killers, as well as her text messages to her friend identified as Prisca while in the captivity of her alleged killers.
It was further revealed that the tendered Call-Log of the deceased allegedly revealing her interactions with the suspects.
Also admitted as evidence was Whatsapp conversation between Late Ijeoma and her boyfriend (Bone of contention). In the messages to the boyfriend, she reportedly described her location which matched the compound of her suspected killers.
Also the iPhone, Make-up tools recovered from the home of the suspects were also tendered as exhibits before Justice Okpe and accepted as evidence.
Background of the story:
It is in public domain that the Enugu Makeup Artiste, late Ijeoma Nneke and one of her suspected killers Ifezue Chiamaka were “dragging” a boyfriend.
One day, Chiamaka allegedly invited her for a make-up job and they was the last time she was seen alive.
On the court proceedings; it could be recalled that the two suspects Ifezue Chiamaka and Ifezue Emeka were arraigned at the Magistrate Court for being involved in the death of the makeup artist, Ijeoma Nneke.
Nneke was declared missing before her remains was found doused with acid on Wednesday 11th, 2020.
The two siblings, Ifezue Chiamaka and Ifezue Emeka who allegedly invited late Ijeoma for a makeup job were on Wednesday, Feb 3rd, arraigned at Enugu State Magistrate Court following the police investigation.
Meanwhile, in the News Center Nigeria’s previous report, the family and relations of the Late makeup artist were seen on, July 29, 2021 at the premises of the Enugu High court, protesting with placards with a demand, justice for Ijeoma.
Meanwhile the matter was adjourned to March 22nd, 24th and 29th, 2022.
