The Executive Governor of Enugu state, Rt. Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has ordered the immediate release of Financial assistance by the ministry of gender affairs and social development, to the Family of brutalized girl, Nneoma Nnadi, in Enugu.

Prior to this, he had approved the award of full scholarship till University level for Nneoma, in Consequence to this, the state board of scholarship are prompted to start the immediate implementation of the order.

A letter by the ministry of Information revealed the above Information.

Recall, that UGAMATV, had earlier reported that the magistrate court in Enugu had remanded the perpetrators of the abuse, Mr. Jude Ozougwu ‘m’ age 40 and Ifeoma Ozougwu ‘F’ age 24 years, to pay for gruesomely injuring Nneoma, with Iron and Nails.

This couple had inflicted several injuries on the 10-year old girl, for sleeping while baby sitting their child at about 12 midnight. Apparently, she was sleeping because it was late in the night, also due to exhaustion from her restless day.

It was gathered, that the baby fell off Nneoma’s hand, to the floor without incuring any injuries. The couple however, pounced on her without mercy.
