Jonathan Declares Political Ascent a ‘Miracle,’ Credits Divine Intervention

Former President Goodluck Jonathan says his political journey has been a miracle, attributing his elevation to divine intervention.
Jonathan stated this on Friday at a book launch to commemorate the 60th birthday of his former aide, Dr Reuben Abati.

According to him, his journey through Nigeria’s political hierarchy could only have been made possible by God.

UGAMATV reports that Jonathan was a deputy governor before becoming a governor and Vice-President before becoming the president.

“My political journey looks like a political miracle. From deputy governor to become the president of this country in under four years was a miracle. It’s only God that made it possible,” he said.

The former president expressed gratitude to Dr Abati for writing about part of his political life in one of the books, ‘How Goodluck Jonathan Became President’, hailing his intellect, writing, and analytical skills.

“I always like people who write about me because sometimes it’s so difficult for you to even write about yourself. When people write about you, it makes more meaning.

“I’ll be very interested to read how Goodluck Jonathan became president from back to back,” the former president added.
