Jigawa State Suspends Five More Local Government Officials

The Jigawa State Government has approved the suspension of five political appointees serving in Auyo Local Government Council with immediate effect.
The affected officials include two Supervisory Councillors and three Special Advisers to the Chairman of the council

According to a press release issued by the Ministry for Local Government and Community Development, signed by its Public Relations Officer, Najib Umar, the suspension takes immediate effect.

The suspended appointees are Bala Energy, Supervisory Councillor; Abdullahi Usman, Supervisory Councillor; Afake Auyo, Special Adviser; Ussaini Biyuta Kataudi, Special Adviser; and Kande Auyo, Special Adviser.

The statement said the suspension was approved by the state government through the ministry, although no reason was provided for the action.

It directed all affected appointees to immediately hand over all government properties and responsibilities in their possession to the Director of Administration and General Services of the local government council.

The affected appointees are hereby directed to hand over all government properties and responsibilities in their possession to the Director of Administration and General Services of the Local Government with immediate effect,” the statement read.

The ministry emphasized that the directive must be complied with promptly.
