The Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade, has appointed entertainer Iyanya Mbuk as Senior Special Assistant Tourism and Entertainment.
Mbuk is a popular musician who hails from Cross River State.
Twenty-six others were also appointed as aides, according to a statement on Wednesday by the governor’s Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Christian Ita.
He said the appointments would take immediate effect.
Earlier in the day the governor had approved the engagement of 500 members of the All Progressives Congress.

A statement by Ita reads, “His Excellency the State Governor, Sir Ben Ayade has approved the immediate engagement of the under-listed persons in fulfilment of his promise to engage 500 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“They are to proceed to their respective local governments of origin for documentation.”
