IPOB denies killing Imo oil workers

THE leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra has asked its “enemies” not to link it to the killing of oil workers in Imo State.

Oil workers were reportedly killed in Etekuru and Asa communities in the Ohaji Local Government Area of Imo State on Tuesday.

But the secessionist group said those dragging it into the killing of the oil workers were being mischievous and untruthful, adding the move was geared towards tarnishing its image before the global community.

The outlawed group said this in a statement by its Director of Media and Publicity, Emma Powerful, a copy of which was made available  on Thursday.

The statement read, “The attention of the Indigenous People of Biafra ably led by our great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been drawn to the fabricated falsehood being peddled by our enemies.”
