Instagram now lets users reorder carousel photos after posting

Instagram is rolling out a long-awaited update that lets you rearrange your carousel posts even after they’ve been published.

Starting today, you can reorder photos and videos in your carousel posts after publishing them.

According to Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri, users can now long-press and drag photos or videos within a carousel to reorder them.

This means you can tweak your post layout anytime, whether you made a mistake or changed your mind.

Previously, the only way to fix a messy carousel was to delete the entire post and start over. Now, you can simply edit the sequence without wiping your post off the grid.

However, while you can rearrange the order and even remove photos or videos after posting, you still can’t add new media to an existing carousel.

The feature is currently being rolled out gradually.
