INSECURITY: GBAJABIAMILA SETS UP SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON SECURITY

As part of efforts to improve security in the nation, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has announced the setup of a committee to review security setup.

Gbajabiamila who made this known on Wednesday said the commitee will meet in three weeks to work on a report that will be transmitted to the President.

The committee comprises all the principal officers of the House and thirty other members.

“We have decided to set up a special committee on security.” Adding that “in the next three weeks, we will meet and produce a proposal to be transmitted to the President.”

Some of the members announced by the Speaker include; Babajimi Benson (Lagos, APC) Kingsley Chinda (PDP, Rivers) Ahamadu Jaha (APC, Borno), Linda Ikpazu (PDP, Anambra), James Faleke (APC, Lagos), Shehu Balarabe (APC, Sokoto), Nicholas Ossai (PDP, Delta), Oluwole Oke (PDP, Osun), Jerry Alagbso (PDP, Imo), Salami Bamidele (PDP, Osun) and others.
